my bridal story
Lily Reynolds & Brady Miller
A lifetime of planning…
“Growing up in retail, I have always thought about this moment. The wedding gown was obviously in the forefront in my mind, but I was excited about everything. The colors, the flowers, the venue, all of it. When the time to start planning finally arrived, I was ecstatic!!
the gown
I didn’t wait long after getting engaged to try on dresses... After trying on 5 gowns, I found the one! Like they say, when you know you know!
I ended up special ordering my gown, since the one we had in stock was not in my size (note the handy-dandy bridal clips!). After a few long months it arrived, and I got to take my picture with the “I found my gown” sign! Pro tip: take a sign photo in your gown to keep for yourself, but also take one in your regular clothing so that you can share it with family/friends/social media! .
the bridesmaids
Talk about FUN! I brought my girls in one by one to try on dresses (since most live a little further away, this made scheduling easier, and I got to spend one on one time with my best friends :) ). One of my bridesmaids couldn’t make it in, but we ended up doing a virtual appointment before placing her special order, and it turned out PERFECT!
the ring bearer & flower girl
Look. How. Cute.! Both of these kids live out of state, but we made it work! The ring-bearer is in the same rental tux style as the groomsmen, and he got measured at a tux shop in his town. The flower girl also sent in her measurements, and chose a dress style that goes perfectly with the wedding gown!
the groomsmen
Do these guys look spiffy or what? For the groomsmen we did a rental program, and ensured fit with custom measuring. The groom purchased a tuxedo coat and pant to give a little differentiation in style, but wore the same accessories (cummerbund, bowtie, and microfiber shirt) to still give the party a cohesive look!
the families
What great looking groups! Both families wore Stephenson’s styles, with the mothers wearing beautiful gowns from the evening department!
thanks for joining <3
After a long day, it felt amazing to change and relax a bit! We partied our hearts out, and then got to go home and reminisce on our perfect day!
Thanks for following along in our wedding journey - I hope this gives inspiration, and an idea of what dressing a wedding party is like! As always just ask Stephenson’s if you have any questions :) “
